Plants vs. Zombies™ is the epic battle of bloom vs. doom featuring fun-loving zombies and powerful plants! The original version was first released on May 5, 2009. Since then, it’s gone on to win over 50 Game of the Year awards. Plants vs. Zombies 2 was released in 2013 for iOS and Android, and took the plants and zombies through time and space (winning its own fair share of awards along the way). In spring 2014, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare came out, providing a first-person shooter-style view into the battles taking place between the beloved hordes of plants and zombies.

Plants vs. Zombies has been downloaded over 500 million times worldwide, Garden Warfare has 2 million+ monthly active players, and the brand has a massive following, boasting over 11.7 million Facebook fans. This number dwarfs many of the followers for other digital brands that have translated successfully into the licensing sector.

The potential for brand licensing is enormous, and Plants vs. Zombies merchandise has already launched in the US across several categories, where it is recording strong sales amongst all ages, but especially boys 6+.

At Bulldog Licensing we are already working with Jazwares — the expanding US toy company, with a European office in the UK — for plush and toys, GBeye for posters, and Penguin for publishing. With enormous growth planned for 2015 and beyond, this really is a licensing opportunity not to be missed!
