Created in 1952 as part of the BBC’s Watch with Mother segment, Bill and Ben were television regulars right through to the 1970s and is now synonymous with great British children’s entertainment. The property was remade in 2002 by Cosgrove Hall and continues to be broadcast regularly on the CBeebies channel in the UK as well as featuring heavily on the CBeebies website.

The show features twin flower-pot men, Bill and Ben who only come out to play when there is no-one around to see them. Their friend, Weed is a much-needed source of information for all the strange and wonderful things they discover in the garden around them and there is no shortage of friends to lend a hand in their many adventures.

Holding strong appeal both as a classic property and a modern brand, Bill and Ben relaunches in 2008 with a two-tier licensing programme to target both of these markets.

The collector programme will launch through specialist retail channels, comprising mainly collectable figurines, commemorative pieces, art and design and adult apparel lines whilst the re-launch of the DVDs in Summer 2008 will spearhead a mid-to-high-end retail programme for the younger consumer with apparel and 2D products following closely behind.
