Ian Downes - Managing Director, Start Licensing
Ian Downes runs Start Licensing a bespoke licensing agency that represents rights such as Brainiac , Are You Smarter than a Ten Year Old and Bang on the Door. He has worked in the licensing industry for over ten years.
Unfortunately Ian met Stephen Gould about six years ago. Despite knowing Gould for six years and being fully aware of the Irish Charm Offensive Ian was still caught off guard when Stephen mentioned this swim – Ian is bitterly disappointed that Stephen managed to close the deal ( a rare occurrence for Mr. Gould ) and got him to sign up to the swim.
Ian is hoping to complete the swim sometime in 2008 and eventually get back to the UK to continue running Start Licensing , watch Millwall and reacquaint himself with his family.
Based on current tide calculations Ian is due to wash up on 22nd December 2008 at 11.23 am – he would appreciate all the support he can get.
