Stephen Gould - Co-Managing Director, 4kids Entertainment International

Conceived in Vancouver, but, born in Belfast and grew up in Northern Ireland during the dark days of the troubles. With this background as well as being an avid Action Man militarist - Stephen has not as yet turned into a psychopathic killer as today's politically correct plonkers would have us all believe.

He learnt that junk food was a treat when he passed his driving test at 17 years of age and drove from Belfast to Dublin for a quarter pound cheeseburger in McDonalds - only 220 miles in total, however, a 9 hour round trip due to C class roads at best in those days.

A man of many contradictions who'll try just about anything once and loves to dip his sails in the water and his skiis off-piste. As Baz Lurrmann advocates - "do one thing each day that scares you!"

A Monarchist at heart and a product of the Thatcherite era who is to all intent and purpose an eclectic mix of Richard Branson, Andrew Marr, Boris Johnson, J.M.Barrie and Father Ted.

Learnt to swim in the womb, although stroke technique was not perfected until the age of 4. An accomplished county swimmer who has also represented Ireland in open water competition around the British Isles despite having a very real phobia of fish, slimey creatures and water that you can't see the bottom of.

Has experiened the smarting sting of a jelly fish and the ferocious venom of a weaver fish - as well as the relief of morphine after dislocating his shoulder during a snowy Christmas day sea swim in in shockingly cold 40 degrees F water.

Lives in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire and married to the ever tolerant and lovely Wendy with a beautiful 1 year old daughter called Ceara and scrumptious ginger tom twins called Heals and Murphy les chats.
